Cooperation Request for PC Security Inspection (Cyber Security Check Day)

Recently, incidents involving malware infections and information leaks through phishing emails and hacking attempts have been reported at domestic universities and public institutions, including Korea University.

To enhance information security awareness among university members, we would like to provide the following guidance regarding basic information security practices and PC security inspections. Your active cooperation is greatly appreciated.

A. PC Security Inspection

1) Verify Installation of the University-Provided Antivirus Software

Please confirm that the university-distributed antivirus program (ALYac for Business) is installed on your PC.

2) Department-Wide Installation and Inspection Guidance

Departments are requested to use the attached notice (Attachment 2) to inform faculty and staff about antivirus installation and security inspection procedures.

3) Cyber Security Check Day

Schedule: Every third Wednesday of the month at 12:00 PM

• If the PC is powered on, the security inspection will be conducted automatically without requiring any additional user action.
