2025 Fall Semester Foreign Student Mentoring Program – Mentor Recruitment

The College of Health Science is recruiting mentors for the 2025 Fall Semester to help international undergraduate students (sophomores) successfully adapt to university life as outlined below.

1. Program Overview and Main Activities

a. Program Overview

• One mentor will be assigned to one international undergraduate student (sophomore) in the College of Health Science and will provide academic and daily life support throughout the semester.

• Mentors and mentees will be matched within the same major whenever possible.

※ However, if no mentor is available from the relevant major, a mentor from a different major may be assigned.

b. Main Activities

• Academic support and campus life assistance

Examples:
Information on course registration and courses by semester, academic administration, graduation requirements, campus life information, and guidance on how to use various university services.

2. Eligibility Requirements

a. Undergraduate students in their second year or above from the Division of Biosystems and Biomedical Science or the School of Biomedical Engineering

b. Students who are willing to be supportive friends and senior peers to international students

※ Applicants who can speak a second language, such as Chinese, should indicate this in the application form.

3. Activity Period

   • 2025 Fall Semester
     (Up to 3.5 hours per week / approximately 9 weeks)

4. Benefits

   • Work-study scholarship payment based on actual activity hours, provided after the semester ends

   ※ Detailed information regarding eligible hours and payment amounts will be announced separately.

   ※ Payment will be deposited directly into the student's personal bank account after the completion of the mentoring program at the end of the semester (not deducted from tuition).
