[Announcement] 2026 In-Campus Transfer (Major Change) Selection Process – Seoul Campus

  1. Eligibility for application:
    Applicants must satisfy both conditions below and be enrolled students of the Seoul Campus (students on leave of absence may also apply).
    ※ Please refer to the recruitment guidelines for detailed information.

a. General eligibility requirements:

  1. Must have completed at least one semester (excluding summer/winter sessions) and must not exceed eight semesters of enrollment.

※ Students in their 9th semester at the time of application are not eligible.

※ The number of semesters is counted by registration history; semesters in which a student registered but did not earn credits are also included.

※ Students who have completed 7 or more semesters should check their maximum enrollment period via the portal (Portal → Academic Affairs → Academic Information) and ensure they can graduate within the remaining period after transfer.

  1. Must have completed at least 6 credits in major courses of the current department (including foundational academic courses).

※ Additional major credit requirements may be specified by the current department (refer to the recruitment guidelines).

※ Courses currently in progress are not counted.

b. Must also meet any additional requirements set by the intended receiving department.

  1. Application method:

a. Application period: November 3, 2025 (Mon) 10:00 – November 5, 2025 (Wed) 17:00

b. Application process:
Portal (KUPID) → Academic Affairs → Academic Information → In-campus Transfer Application

  1. Select intended department (major)

  2. Enter reason for transfer and study plan (each within 1,500 Korean characters)

  • No separate form is required; applicants must enter “Reason for transfer” and “Study plan” directly in the online system (each within 1,500 characters in Korean).

  1. Save as draft (“temporary save”)

  2. Review application and submit final application (“final submit”)

c. Academic transcripts for evaluation purposes will be provided by the university.

d. Application fee: None

e. Only applications with “final submission” completed by November 5, 2025 (Wed) 17:00 will be accepted.

  1. Selection schedule:

  • Announcement of preliminary transfer results: November 14, 2025 (Fri) 17:00
    (Check individually on KUPID → Academic Affairs → Academic Information → In-campus Transfer Application)

  • Interview evaluation (if applicable): November 18 (Tue) – November 20 (Thu), 2025
    (Only for departments conducting interviews in addition to document screening)

  • Final results announcement: December 12, 2025 (Fri) 17:00
    (Check individually on KUPID → Academic Affairs → Academic Information → In-campus Transfer Application)

  1. Important notes:

a. Applicants who do not meet eligibility requirements will be disqualified.

b. In-campus transfer is allowed only once during enrollment, and transfer back to the original department is not permitted after approval.

c. Students in teacher certification programs who transfer will lose their eligibility for teacher certification selection (both primary and double majors). Re-application may be possible if requirements are met after transfer.

d. All graduation requirements after transfer will follow the curriculum and graduation criteria of the receiving department.

e. If a student applies for both double major and in-campus transfer in the same department and is accepted for both, the in-campus transfer result will take priority.
